 Gabe Plotkin founded Tallwoods Capital LLC in 2022 and serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer. Tallwoods Capital is a Miami Beach-based family office focused on long-term investments, primarily in public equities, as well as private investments in the consumer sector. Gabe currently serves on the boards of privately held Just Salad, Maman, and Bamboo Sushi.

Prior to founding Tallwoods, Gabe was the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Melvin Capital, a hedge fund focused on consumer and technology stocks. Melvin Capital peaked at more than $13 billion in assets under management and generated industry-leading gross returns of approximately 45% annually from 2015 through 2020. Before Melvin Capital, Gabe was a leading portfolio manager at SAC Capital.

Gabe graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics. He is also Co-Chairman and a rotating Governor of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. Gabe lives in Miami with his wife and four children. He and his wife are active in numerous philanthropic efforts, including Children of Fallen Patriots, where Gabe serves as a board member
